Hi everyone, CFA level 1 student here, love the articles. I’ve just completed my degree in economics, and wonder if its possible to start CFA studies at the start of September and still be reasonably sure of passing? Just wanted some opinion from experienced candidates to help me plan out my next two months or so. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, its possible. Are you going to be 100% on it or are you starting a job? The ‘reasonably sure of passing’ part would depend more on how hard you study rather than a specific start date.

I’d start in August to be safe, but that’s just my opinion.

It really depends on your level of familiarity with the material and how much studying you do when you do start. You’ll need to make sure you set aside proper time if you start in Sept.

300hours has an article about this – 1st September puts you just about in the ‘safe’ zone: https://www.300hours.com/how-long-to-study-for-cfa/#.WUIfPtnTXqA
