It’s probably a cost thing isn’t it?
I think in-person classes help structure your learning and helps you getting unstuck on areas that you just don’t get, which there will be a lot. But expensive. If cost was not a factor, this is how I would choose to prep for the exam.
Personally I don’t think there is much point to live online classes, might as well go for instructor videos at that point at a much cheaper price.
Another thing is to make sure you utilize the tutor support features if they are offered, they really help!

CFAI customer service confirmed this is correct, results day is 6th aug for L1/2, 20th for L3.

::jasdev said:I read a piece on efinancialcareers earlier today on how banking jobs will now require Python at a minimum; I guess I know what I will be doing after I get my charter 😛Careful with overdisplaying technical knowledge though. I invested a shitton of time learning SAS with the idea of furthering my career during the early days. A lot of more senior people too lazy to do technical shit kept making me do stuff for them by stroking my ego and promising good reviews etc.
The opposite happened, they always turned around and screwed me in performance reviews saying I was not well rounded enough. Later I found out that SAS worker bees are rare and mid-management try and keep them from being promoted to management so that they can keep on using them.

in reply to: CFA Level 2 and CAIA Level 1 in 16 months #84755::Interested in taking up CAIA as well – it would be great if anyone could chip in with your thoughts on my situation.
I’m in finance consulting and the CFA is the ‘main qualification’ that most consultants here take, but some consultants are also taking the CAIA to gain an edge and specialize in Alternative Investment clients.
I should have the time to take the exam, but I will be taking it with my CFA. My company is happy to pay for everything as long as I pass.
I’ve already registered for L3 this June, and aiming to register for CAIA September when it opens next month. Thoughts?
